Fathers' Day

June 2009: A visit to the zoo was the perfect way to celebrate Fathers' Day.

Cara loves the Carousel.

Fun with Dad.

Mom gets a turn.

Its more fun to push the stroller than be pushed.

The lion is a favorite place to climb up.

What a fun day!

Family Day

May 2009: The two years that Cara has been with us has flown by. In honor of the occasion we went on a hike together to Mount Little Si.

Cara enjoys getting a snack out of her very own backpack.

Holding Mom's hand while walking down a steep hill.

A fence along the trail provided lots of climbing fun.

Giving Dad a hug.

Our Family.

Spinning and Swinging

Cara is definitely a girl in motion! She loves spinning around and around as well as going back and forth.

One fun addition to our new balcony this spring was a swinging tent.

Its a great way to enjoy a sunny spring afternoon.

Some neighbors have kids and put some rings hanging from the tree. Cara loves going back and forth - and she is getting really strong!

Taking a break from swinging.

Even when the weather isn't so good, Cara can satisfy her urge for motion by spinning around and around in the yellow bucket. She can kick herself around pretty fast.

We get dizzy just watching!

Building with blocks

Stacking blocks takes concentration.

Cara loves building towers.

Knocking them down is even more fun!

All the way down!

Curious George at the Children's Museum

Ms A gets the girls out lots, but found a special treat for them this April - the Curious George exhibit at the Children's Museum!

George and the girls.

Hopefully Megan isn't calling the fire station.

Cara tries a phone call too.

Grocery shopping at the Children's Museum.

Time to check out with our purchases.

Cara at the wheel of the bus - watch out!

Springtime in Ballard

Spring comes fast to Seattle, even as winter lingers in the mountains. A warm spring day is a good day for some urban exploration in Ballard.

Stop and smell the flowers

Fun playing with Dad.

Not a baby anymore!
