Christmas 2009

Cara enjoyed a quiet Christmas in Seattle this year. We had none of the snow excitement of 2008, and C's busy travel schedule meant we were mostly happy to just spend some days hanging out together. Other than the obvious presents, the highlight of Christmas Day for Cara was having "Clam chowder for lunch!", just like Sal in One Morning in Maine.

Merry Christmas!

Riding the Trike

Being home for a few days around Thanksgiving gave Cara more opportunities to ride her trike. Something must have clicked, since she suddenly went from a hesitant rider to taking off on her own down the sidewalk. It is now a favorite means of getting the playground, and Cara doesn't let darkness or drizzle deter her either.

Bye Mom!

There she goes!

But off-road triking stil presents some challenges.
